St Baldrick’s Foundation Jaymes + Kai

Kai is being honored by the sweetest kid. His name is Jaymes and he is 15. He has been raising money for childhood cancer since he was 9, by growing out and shaving his head each year. His mom is a hairstylist and a friend of a friend that I went to high school with. When she shared Kai’s journey with Jaymes, he asked if he could honor Kai with this year’s fundraising. This means is Kai is an “honored kid” on their page. It also means he is one of the coolest kids I know. What a champ!

When his mom asked if Kai could be honored by Jaymes, I cried. I said yes immediately and then asked what this cool foundation was that they were a part of. I then started doing my homework on St Baldricks and continue to do so and support. If anyone has any questions about the foundation, I can get you in touch with the Director of Family Relations. She has been kind enough to send personal messages and offer her assistance where needed.

Also, consider supporting St Baldrick’s or any foundation working on funding and legislation for childhood cancer. It is underfunded and that needs to change. Simple as that. Thank you to Jaymes for calling attention to an important cause, choosing Kai to honor, and being an absolutely wonderful kid. And thanks to his parents and family for helping to raise this gentleman.
